Dr. Lloyd Taustine opened the Taustine Eye Center in 1978 with a goal to provide the best quality eye care in the region. He has performed many vision “firsts” and still remains committed to total quality care for his patients. With over 30 years of experience in microscopic surgery of the eye, Dr. Lloyd Taustine continues to be on the leading edge of surgical advancements in his field. He was one of the first doctors to perform no stitch cataract surgery. The laser coherence biometer, one of the first of its kind in the country, continues the long tradition of providing our patients with the very best in vision care. Dr. Taustine is listed in the “Best Doctors in America,” and was chosen as the “Best Adult Ophthalmologist in Louisville” by a Louisville Magazine poll in 2001.
