The Taustine Eye Center is Louisville’s leading eye surgery, research and eye care practice. Focusing on total patient care is our goal. At the Taustine Eye Center we pride ourselves on combining old-fashioned patient care with modern technology. We believe that even though technology is an important part of our ophthalmology practice, it cannot take the place of the relationships we have with our patients.
Over the last 30 years, we have been the first practice in the area to adopt many new procedures for advanced diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and disorders. Today, we offer the most up-to-date technologies available to treat cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.
The Taustine Eye Center also specializes in laser vision correction for nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism and presbyopia (trouble seeing at near). Among the laser procedures performed are LASIK, PRK and the new E-LASIK.
