Dr. T’s trip to the American Academy of Ophthalmology meeting
- Posted on: Jul 30 2019
I recently returned from the 2014 American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) meeting. The annual conference is the biggest ophthalmology meeting in the world. This year’s event happened to be in one of my favorite cities, Chicago.
During the annual meetings, doctors present leading edge work from all fields of eye surgery. I always return home eager to use some of the new advances from various seminars and workshops. Plus, I always find it fascinating getting to converse with ophthalmogists from around the world. In addition to the education, attending an AAO meeting in the Windy City is amazing because of the terrific museums, restaurants, shopping, architecture, and much more!
I also wanted to include some pictures from my time at the AAO meeting, which you can check out below. Don’t forget to also give us a follow on twitter @TaustineEyeCtr and on Facebook: TaustineEyeCenter.
We tweeted out the picture above while in attendance at the meeting. When AAO sent out their newsletter that week, they chose only two tweets to highlight from the weekend, and our tweet was one of them!!
Learning about ophthalmology is fun!
But, we had a little fun outside of the AAO Meeting as well!!
