Lloyd Taustine, M.D

Dr. Lloyd Taustine opened the Taustine Eye Center in 1978 with a goal to provide the best quality eye care in the region. He has performed many vision “firsts” and still remains totally committed to quality care for his patients. With over 30 years of experience and tens of thousands of cases of microscopic surgery performed on the eye, Dr. Lloyd Taustine continues to be on the leading edge of surgical advancements in his field. He was one of the first doctors to perform no stitch cataract surgery. The laser coherence biometer, one of the first of its kind in the country, continues the long tradition of providing our patients with the very best in vision care. Dr. Taustine is listed in the “Best Doctors in America” and has been chosen as the “Best Adult Ophthalmologist in Louisville” repeatedly by Louisville Magazine polls since 2001. In the 2014 issue of Louisville Magazine, Dr. Taustine was named a Top Surgeon in the Cataract and Lasik category. The Louisville Magazine award is even more outstanding because the Top Docs are chosen by their peers.
